Zoom Is Building a Revenue OS, Ushering a “New Era of Revenue Intelligence”

Zoom has unveiled its vision to build an “AI-powered revenue OS”.

Its revenue OS will unify buyer intelligence, customer conversations, and revenue execution on one platform.

In doing so, it will surface opportunities to grow the pipeline, convert more customers, and expand existing customer relationships.

From there, the revenue OS will help brands execute on those opportunities, ushering in “a new era of revenue intelligence” - as Zoom puts it.

That’s the vision, and Zoom is already moving toward it by announcing the availability of Common Room by Zoom and two new capabilities for the Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA).

How Zoom Is Building Its Revenue OS

As noted, Zoom’s revenue OS will comprise buyer intelligence, customer conversations, and revenue execution.

Common Room by Zoom brings the buyer intelligence.

The solution - acquired by Zoom in July 2026 - layers over the sales stack and connects real-time prospect and customer signals to highlight those most likely to buy next.

In other words, it brings the intelligence that guides sales teams on which prospects to engage.

Then, ZRA enters the frame. First, with a new feature, aptly named: ‘Engage’. It helps build multi-channel sales sequences (supported by Zoom Auto Dialer) to “reach the right prospects at scale”.

From there, ZRA analyzes subsequent sales conversations, extracting additional intelligence to push the deal along.

A second new feature - called ‘Forecast’ - builds on this ability. It extracts deal signals from conversations and assembles them into a live sales forecast, with brands able to drill down for further insights.

As such, Zoom is already piecing together its revenue intelligence capabilities and workflows, with its revenue OS vision taking shape.

“Revenue isn’t built in a single sales call. It’s built across a relationship,” added Linda Lian, GM of Common Room and ZRA at Zoom, in a press release.

“Bringing more of that [relationship] context together can give AI a deeper understanding of the customer - what they care about, what’s happened before, and where they are in their journey. That understanding is what enables AI to help determine the right action to take next, so revenue teams can engage customers more effectively and drive growth.”

Zoom is currently focused on delivering a revenue intelligence layer by sitting over the sales stack. Yet, further down the line, it may also pull in additional revenue insights from service conversations.

That could be a massive differentiator in the fast-moving revenue intelligence space.

Zoom’s Opportunity in the Revenue Intelligence Space

Today, most revenue platforms focus only on customer acquisition, giving insights into pipeline generation, sales velocity, win rate, etc.

Typically, that acquisition data stays siloed from customer lifetime value (CLV) insights.

Zoom is in a unique position to fill that gap.

Why? Because it also owns conversational data from customer support conversations, thanks to Zoom CX Insights.

With this solution and ZRA, it can combine sales and service insights for a broader view of revenue intelligence.

Zoom can also collect revenue signals directly from sales calls and meetings happening on its platform, whereas competitors get them secondhand.

As a result, Zoom may pick up not only broader revenue signals, but better revenue signals.

“When you add AI capabilities and workflows to these signals, revenue teams can consume insights faster and take action earlier in the revenue lifecycle,” said Schneider.

"Zoom, with these new revenue intelligence additions and integrated with a well-oiled CRM initiative, will establish a more critical place in the GTM tech stack."

To Schneider’s point, revenue intelligence platforms are gaining traction in a time of slow growth.

Remove seven of the highest-growth companies in the Fortune 500, and the remaining 493 companies are currently averaging just 6% growth.

Given this, Zoom seemingly has a significant opportunity in this space. However, it’s not the only CX vendor that’s going all in on revenue intelligence.

What Competition Will Zoom Face In the Revenue Intelligence Market?

Clari, Salesloft, Gong, Outreach, ZoomInfo, SugarAI… In a recent revenue intelligence market overview, Constellation Research highlighted just how many providers are gunning for the space.

First are the traditional Revenue Operations (RevOps) providers, looking to move beyond the middle office and influence more of the sales process.

Next are established CRM providers, extending their capabilities by using increasingly sophisticated data and intelligence models to support growth optimization.

At the same time, companies are emerging from the conversational intelligence space, trying to combine their interaction data with operational data to deliver actionable recommendations.

Given this, it’s a fascinating mix of vendors, starting from various points in the stack.

Yet, Zoom is putting the market on notice, according to Zeus Kerravala, Founder & Principal Analyst at ZK Research.

“Timing this announcement around Dreamforce is a shot across the bow of incumbents like Gong and Clari. Now, Zoom isn't just facilitating calls or meetings, but rather it wants to own the end-to-end sales lifecycle.”

Yet, as noted, the big differentiator moving forward likely lies beyond sales. After all, if Zoom can bring together sales and service insights under one compelling go-to-market strategy, it could deliver a uniquely powerful revenue intelligence offering.
