8x8 Appoints Jamie Snaddon as SVP + Chief Strategy Officer, Nerea Gandarias as Managing Director, EMEA

This morning, 8x8 announced the appointment of Jamie Snaddon as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Nerea Gandarias will take over as Managing Director, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa.) Both appointments are effective immediately.
Jamie Snaddon Appointed SVP and Chief Strategy Officer
Snaddon, who will report directly to 8x8 CEO Samuel Wilson, has been with 8x8 for over 10 years: first as General Counsel for Europe, then as Managing Director of EMEA. Prior to his time at 8x8, Snaddon served as Senior Legal Counsel for Paypoint and deputy General Counsel for Mercedes-Benz UK.
Jamie has proven he can turn strategy into results. He understands our technology, our customers, and the markets in which we compete, and he’s been the lead on some really successful launches such as 8x8 Small Business and international expansions. As communications and AI reshape our industry, Jamie will work with me and our leadership team to see where 8x8 is best positioned to win, and help translate our strategy into growth and long-term value creation.
The Chief Strategy Officer role is a new one for 8x8, created with the goal of prioritizing technology initiatives and investments for the CX solution. Snaddon will also help 8x8 find new opportunities for growth, including within the existing partner ecosystem and customer base.
8x8 has meaningful opportunities ahead of us, and capturing them requires focus and disciplined execution. ok forward to working with Sam and the leadership team to sharpen our priorities, evaluate opportunities across the business, and help ensure we are focusing our resources where we can create the greatest value for customers, partners, and shareholders.
Nerea Gandarias Appointed as Managing Director, EMEA
Nerea Gandarias will replace Snaddon as 8x8's Managing Director, EMEA.
Previously, Gandarias spent over 7 years at 8x8 as Senior Director of Demand Generation (EMEA and ANZ), VP of International Marketing (UK Country Lead), and most recently, as GVP of Global Field and Channel Marketing (UK Country Lead.)
Before joining 8x8, Gandarias served as the Senior Director of Demand Generation (EMEA and APAC) for SS&C Advent.
Nerea knows our business, our customers, and our partners, and brings deep go-to-market experience to the role. Her appointment also reflects the depth of leadership talent we have developed within 8x8. She is well positioned to build on the momentum Jamie and the EMEA team have created, while maintaining continuity for our customers and partners and continuing to grow the business across the region
